Welcome to the Norwegian Olympic Museum

The Norwegian Olympic Museum in Lillehammer is a tribute to sports, achivements, heroes, and to the Olympic idea and Norway's two Olympics in 1952 and 1994.

The Norwegian Olympic Museum is both a museum and an experience center. Here you travel in time from ancient to the modern Olympic Games, with focus on the Norwegian Olympic history.

Through interactive installations, multimedia presentations and stories related to original objects, you can relive unforgettable Olympic moments.

Watch the the 180 degree movie experience "Inside the race", and feel the pulse and pressure to an athlete during competition. Or feel the goosebumps form when you enter the opening ceremony area with clips from amazing opening ceremonies.

You can immerse yourself in the history of Norway as the host nation for the Winter Olympics Games in both 1952 and 1994. Most of the events were different, but the joy of sports, the folk festival and the commitment were the same, and in the Olympic Museum you can relive fantastic winter days from these Games. The Paralympics and Youth Olympics have separate sections in the museum.

The Norwegian Olympic Museum is part of the Olympic Museum Network.

Welcome to unforgettable Olympic moments!
