Many of the inhabitants of our region are active in sports. Some have become stars and have made it all the way to the top in the Olympics.

Innlandet is the second largest county in Norway. The county has much to offer, including Norway’s highest mountains, its longest river, its largest lake, and lots of snow! The people who live here love sports. Not only winter sports, but summer sports too.

Sport has always been an important part of everyday life, with some growing up to become sports stars and fulfil the ultimate dream, gold at the Olympics.

More than 200 Norwegian Olympic athletes have roots in the county with 70 going on to win medals, including 27 gold medallists. The exhibition tells the stories of these Olympic heroes who made it all the way to the very top.
