Norwegian pioneers and sports heroes

 In the Norwegian Olympic Museum you get to know the athles and their stories. 

The first Olympic Games were arranged in Athens in 1896. The Norwegian debut came four years later. Since then, with exception from 1904 and 1980, Norway has participated in the Olympic Games with varying luck. Already in Chamonix in 1924 Norway  stood out and the newspapers wrote that Thorleif Haug «Showed the world the winter road». In Vancouver in 2010 Norway was the first nation to achievce 100 gold medals in the Olympic Winter Games, when Tora Berger won in the normal distance in biathlon.
